Summary
I was responsible for UI/UX design for Avnet’s eCommerce experience, an annual 28-billion-dollar global electronics parts supplier. As a contributing UI/UX designer for Avnet on a team, I was responsible for working together to conduct UX research, user flows, task flows, and participated in evaluation and analysis of testing, produced wireframes, UI mockups, and prototypes, gathered data in the form of UX requirements; applied user-centered design methods and best practices approach to meet the needs of the user, while at the same time aligning stakeholders, users, and the team members to take a journey along the same path to achieve design objectives.
problem
• Avenet was losing customer loyalty and conversions which was evident in a drop of sales
• Website was not accessible across devices and users could not easily access or lookup parts that they needed for their projects.
Solution
• I was a contributor on a UX team of 5 people that delivered a responsive mobile experience for Avnets’ e-commerce web and power users.
• Global rebranding of the corporate and Ecommerce sites which included America and EMEA.
• Solved usability issues by creating new user flow paths and prototypes for sections of the Avenet corporate responsive site.
• Improved content strategy and ease of use.
